Get Involved
We are excited to not only share our work in the City, but we are always interested and committed to garnering and leveraging additional support in our community. Below is a list of opportunities for individuals and/or organizations to engage in relationship with the Portland Leadership Foundation:
Donor
Donor opportunities include the standard giving to programs such as one-time gifts, annual gifts (monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual disbursements), capacity building gifts, and restricted gifts (endowment and programmatic).
Support Team
These teams will be made up of board and non-board members. These support teams include individuals who have an expressed passion/gift for the focus of a particular team (i.e., student support, partnerships, etc.) and will support the work of the organization and make recommendation for current and future activities (community-based and programmatic). These teams will not have governance responsibilities, but will interface with the Board and staff around annual goals/work plans. Support teams will meet at regular intervals to be determined by the team. Verbal and written updates will be provided to the board of directors.
Act Six Selection Committee
Every year, our goal is to recruit twenty people to help us select two diverse cadres of scholars. If you would be interested in serving on our Act Six Selection Committee…let us know!
Board Member
The members of the Board of Directors will have governance and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization. The areas of emphasis are financial management, evaluation of chief executive(s), and leadership development. The Board of Directors will meet at regular intervals according to an established calendar.
Volunteer
Friends of the organization can volunteer in community based programming and/or events. Contact the staff of the program of interest to you.
Come and See Opportunities – these are planned opportunities and/or scheduled events that potential friends of the agency/funders/volunteers can participate in to get a sense of the work of the organization.
